In addition to our annual Autumn event, we are proud to announce a new minisymposium this Autumn – the inaugural Quant Careers event. Quants@VU in cooperation with TopQuants and EY welcome all quant finance professionals, students in quant finance, finance, math and econometrics, as well as young graduates in these areas to attend this inaugural event!

The invited speakers are:

Jerry de Leeuw, CEO at Entrima, the European Institute for Energy Trading & Risk Management, the founder of Mercurious (training and consultancy), former option trader at AEX and the author of the book “Milkshakes and Butterflies”.

Lisa Lipkin, the founder of Story Strategies, who will tell us about how to tell a persuasive story about yourself, in a job interview or another context.

Furthermore, the first Quantitative Thesis Award of 2500 EUR will be awarded during this event! The three finalists will pitch their quant thesis and the winner will be decided.

The day will conclude with drinks, food and plenty of opportunities for informal networking.
