QUANT CAREERS SYMPOSIUM 2026
We welcome all quant finance professionals, students and graduates to attend this exciting event.
We are excited to announce the 2026 edition of the Quant Careers symposium, which will take place in Wetenschappelijk Centrum Watergraafsmeer (WCW) near Science Park in Amsterdam on February 19, 2026. We welcome all quant finance professionals, students and graduates to attend this exciting event.
As always, we have two invited great speakers. This year, they are:
- prof. em. Henk Overbeek, Emeritus Professor of International Relations (affiliated with the Department of Political Science & Public Administration) at the Vrije University of Amsterdam and a widely published scholar of global political economy and geopolitics, bringing both academic depth and real-world policy experience from the Dutch Senate. His work sits at the intersection of international political economy and geopolitics, with recent focus on themes like the rise of China and the war in Ukraine. He will speak about the current geopolitical landscape, unpacking the fault lines reshaping today’s world order.
- Rens Borsje, Senior Risk Consultant at Probability & Partners. As a seasoned senior quant with more than 10 years of experience across banking and consultancy, he will share recent quant career developments from the perspective of a quant specialist in the area of market risk.
At this event, the Best EU Quant Finance Thesis Prize 2025 will be awarded. The four finalists will pitch their theses and the winner will be decided and announced during the symposium.
The day will conclude with drinks, food and networking.
